One-on-One Conversation With Directors Emily Mann and Blanka Zizka March 7, 2012 The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation is continuing its conversation series on artistic leadership. Emily Mann is in her 22nd season as artistic director of McCarter Theatre and for the past 35 years has produced, directed, written, and adapted plays and productions around the country. Blanka Zizka, who is in her 31st season as artistic director of the Wilma Theater, just received the SDCF's Zelda Fichandler Award, which recognizes a director or choreographer for transforming the regional arts landscape. The conversation between the two will be 90 minutes and is part of the Women Center Stage 2012 Festival. Topics will include approaches to direction, career influences and challenges, and opinions on fostering creativity and successful collaboration. March 10.
